Mark Zuckerberberg blog # 1

1.After watching the video and reading the article about Mark I have come to realize that he seems like a pretty well rounded, down to earth person who is just like you and I.  The reason why I think he only rents a 2 bedrom house and isn't living in some mansion or up-scale condo is because those things aren't really important to him, he is just an " average joe", and he isn't really into all the glitz and glam like other rich people who are all snobby and stuck up and like to flash their money around.

2.I think that philosophy is for both a company and a person because the message is to encourgae people to take risk/ to try something new and that it's ok to mess up beacuse in the long run you can learn from your mistakes and fix them so that you can do better the next time. If you didn't take chances and mess up then you wouldn't get anywhere. Your company would fail if you didn't try new things and come up with fresh ideas once in a while, if they didn't people would get bored and look elsewhere

3. I'm not quite sure if I can judge whether or not Mark's 1 million dollar donation is just a way to coincide with his up coming film on his lifeor if it'sa genuine donation beacuse I don't know Mark that well. From what I've seen in the video clip it would lead me to think that the donation isn't something to conincide with his film beacuse he seems so nice and condiderate. but looks can be deceiving

  1. 1. I don't know if hes trying to be an "average joe" or just hide from the media because nobody for sure knows if he was the real creator of facebook.
    2. Agreed a hundred percent. Taking risks is the first step to making a mistake, thus helping you learn from it.
    3. personally I'm a little suspicious because he decided to come out to the public and donate as the movie is coming out.

    P.S he donated 100 million not 1 million :P

  2. Nice catch there Khalid on $100 million lol. Anyway, I agree with you Shantay in the sense that he is a very considerate person. But I also beleive that you don'tbecome a billionaire without good reason. So while he may be all nice now, I bet he's had to make some pretty rough decisions as the leader of Facebook.

P.S. I really enjoyed your blog, your style of writing is if I may quote your own blog is "down-to-earth". When I read your blog, it felt as if youw were talking to the reader as a friend. I guess your "tone" was the tone of friendliness and I hope to continue reading your blogs in the future. :)

  3. Yeah I personally think whether he is making this donation to advertise his film or out of the goodness of his heart, it doesnt matter. All that matters is that these kids in New Orleans are getting 100 million dollars. I dont think they care who its from or why they are giving it to them haha
